The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is an all-new SUV that is just now arriving on the Canadian market. The CX-50 is offered in two trim levels, which both benefit from the same qualities that have already made Mazda SUVs popular with buyers.
The GS-L
The entry-level version of the 2023 Mazda CX-50 is the GS-L. This model is equipped with all of the features you want, such as the wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto integration and the 10.25-inch infotainment display. The GS-L also gives you access to a leatherette trimmed interior with heated front seats and a 10 power-adjustment for the driver.
The panoramic sunroof is also standard and so is the i-Activ all-wheel drive system. This confidence-inspiring drivetrain is paired with the 2.5L four-cylinder engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque through a smooth six-speed automatic transmission.
The GT
The top-of-the line for the 2023 Mazda CX-50 is the GT, which adds a plethora of features and characteristics to the already complete list of equipment found in the GS-L. For example, the 360-degree camera system, the leather upholstery, the Bose premium sound system, the ventilated front seats, the heated rear seats, the wireless phone charger, the head up display and the traffic sign recognition system.
In addition, the complete list of i-Activsense driver assistance features is installed, including the Traffic jam assist, the Smart City Brake Support Rear, which can prevent collisions while backing up and the emergency lane keeping with blind spot monitoring that alerts you if the vehicle is deviating from its lane and in danger of running off the road. As for the mechanical aspect, the CX-50 GT is available with a turbocharged version of the 2.5L engine that delivers 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when using premium fuel. In order to save at the pump, this engine can use regular grade gasoline with only a slight reduction in power.
