Mazda sales continue to grow through first six months of 2021

Mazda has been on a roll since the beginning of the year, registering an impressive 53.1% increase in sales throughout the first two quarters of 2021 compared to the first half of 2020. Last month, Mazda sold 6,816 vehicles in Canada, an increase of 3.8% compared to June 2020.


Every single Mazda vehicle available for sale has seen its sales increase year over year compared with 2020. Moreover, some models like the Mazda CX-30, the Mazda CX-9, and the Mazda6 have doubled their sales of 2020. The Mazda CX-30 recorded its best sales month on record in June with a 44.3% increase compared to the same month last year.


The Mazda CX-9 also did very well with an increase of 21.4% sales in June compared to 2020. The Mazda CX-5 remained the best-selling Mazda vehicle in the country with a total of 14,127 sales since the beginning of the year, an increase of 53.4% compared to last year. Overall, Mazda sales are outpacing the industry through the second quarter with a 72.2% increase compared to the same period in 2020.
