A Look at the Pricing and Specifications of the 2024 Mazda CX-30

Mazda Canada released the pricing and specifications of the 2024 CX-30, including the all-new Suna Edition. Here is what you need to know if you are in the market for a fun to drive sub-compact SUV.

What’s new in 2024?

Apart from the Suna Edition which will be detailed later, the 2024 Mazda CX-30 receives a few upgrades over the previous year, including a more powerful standard engine. Indeed, the 2.5L Skyactiv engine with cylinder deactivation is now standard in place of the 2.0L version found in the 2023 model, bringing the base output to 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Other changes include the addition of USB-C charging ports, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with touch capabilities, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

CX-30 GX

The entry-level version of the 2024 Mazda CX-30 is the GX, which has an MSRP of $28,150. For this price, buyers get a host of desirable features that are only optional on competitive vehicles, such as heated front seats, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, two years of Mazda Connected Services, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, automatic LED headlamps, pushbutton start, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Of course, every CX-30 also comes standard with Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system that improves safety on slippery roads and performance on dry pavement.

CX-30 GS

Choosing the $31,450 CX-30 GS grade adds another bundle of features that are normally only available on much more expensive versions of other small SUVs, such as radar-guided cruise control, a heated steering wheel, Smart City Brake Support Front with pedestrian detection, Lane-Keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rear center armrest.

The GS grade is also available with a Luxury Package that adds leatherette upholstery, a 10-way power driver’s seat with memory function, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power moonroof, bringing the price to $33,650.

CX-30 GT

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 GT builds upon the GS grade with Luxury Package with features such as a 12-speaker Bose audio system, navigation, intelligent key access, a head-up display, paddle shifters, navigation, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive lighting, distinctive LED headlamps and taillamps, leather upholstery, Smart Brake Support Rear, the Cruising and Traffic Assist system, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, HomeLink, wireless phone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Priced at $37,550, this model can also be ordered with a turbocharged engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, at a price of $39,950.

CX-30 Suna

The new Suna edition sits at the top of the 2024 Mazda CX-30 lineup in terms of pricing and equipment, with an MSRP of $40,700. For this sum, the CX-30 Suna gets a distinctive paint colour called Zircon Sand, a unique upholstery option of Terracotta leatherette with black suede accents, a black grille, and black 18-inch alloy wheels. This model also includes all of the features found in the GT trim level and it comes standard with the turbocharged engine.
